SURE Universal Remote
SURE Mobile Client SURE Remote - Universal remote client for Android and iOS Smartphones SURE’s Smart Home solution allows users to interact with the system from their mobile phones. SURE Client can be installed on any Android or iOS based smart phone. SURE Client communicates with SURE Gateway directly while being connected to the home WiFi network. This means, basic communication with the devices works without the Internet connectivity. In addition, SURE Client connects to SURE Cloud when being outside of the home network, enabling the same level of communication. SURE Client uses the OCF (Open Connectivity Foundation) standard for the communication. It is OCF-certified for both Android and iOS. SURE Client can manage any OCF enabled device, as well as control infra-red devices, support media streaming and other protocols over WiFi. In addition to sending commands to the devices, SURE Client “listens” to the changes in the status of the connected devices. Therefore, its User Interface always reflects the latest state, regardless of whether the state had changed by the same client, another client instance, via a Scene Manager, or directly via hardware control. In any case, the latest state will be presented in a timely manner. SURE client User Interface supports “White Label” versions, built according to the specific themes and branding requirements of SURE business partners. Main components of SURE Client: OCF Universal Client: Based on an open source package implementing OCF, it communicates with the Gateway (or the Cloud Device Control module) via the OCF (Open Connectivity Foundation) protocol, based on the open standard. Due to universality of the OCF, the Client supports wide range of Smart Home devices, and can support additional types easily. User Interface: Provides information on the current state of the connected Smart Home devices and cameras, and enables commands-based interaction with the devices, over the WiFi or via the cloud. In particular, provides interaction with the set-top box. User Interface supports “white labeling”. Voice Commands: Recognizes users' voice commands, and routes them to execution. Administration: Supports administration tasks for authorized users, like configuring scenes, setting permissions etc. IR / DLNA: SURE Client is “smart” in a sense it is capable of communicating with the devices directly (and not via the Gateway) when appropriate. The client can control infra red devices, perform media streaming using DLNA and other streaming protocols, and communicate directly via WiFi using vendor-specific protocols.
