The Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF), an IoT standards body, will showcase products from BSC Computer GmbH, COMMAX, Haier, LG Electronics, Resideo, Samsung Electronics and SURE Universal as a completely interoperable experience for smart homes.
The demonstration is due to take place at the OCF IoT Breakthrough press event on Monday 6th January from 3-6pm PST at CES in Las Vegas.
The devices being demoed will compete OCF 2.1 certification this year, which will ensure robust and secure connectivity between devices. As well as these, many other OCF member companies will launch products based on the OCF specification in 2020.
According to OCF, secure interoperability will be key in making the IoT successful and thus developing the smart home market further.
