SEOUL, KOREA (Sep 19, 2018) — HDC and OCF signed a memorandum of understanding in support of joint marketing, and applying OCF standards to apartment houses, on Sep 19th at Yongsan headquarters, in Seoul, Korea.
Soon-Ho Kwon, CEO of HDC, John Park, Executive Director of OCF, and Choi Sang-Man, Chair of the Business Sub-Committee of the OCF Korea Forum, were in attendance at this event.
The two organizations agreed to cooperate with each other to support mutual technology and joint marketing, and to apply OCF technology standards to buildings such as apartments and general households.
Soon-ho Kwon, CEO of HDC said, “By applying IoT technology of international standard such as OCF, we hope to be able to provide high-quality home IoT services, so that users can easily use different services at home by connecting them easily.”
John Park, Executive Director of OCF said, “I look forward to collaborating with HDC to be a representative example of the application of OCF’s cloud and security standards in the IoT market.”
Choi Sang-Man, from OCF Korea Forum said, “Recently, use cases applying OCF are increasing and core industry players who are willing to adopt OCF in the construction, energy, and home network fields are increasing.”
Hyundai Development Company (HDC), was the first construction company to become an OCF member in May 2018.
