January 24, 2017 – The Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF), a leading Internet of Things (IoT) standards body, announced the appointment of Joonho Park as Executive Director of OCF for the consortium. In his new role, Dr. Park will foster OCF strategic initiatives and aid execution, chair the Operational Management Steering Committee, maintain OCF policies and procedures and provide clear communication in an effort to build cross-organizational consensus.

December 6, 2016 – The Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF), a leading Internet of Things (IoT) standards body, announced the addition of 68 new member organizations including Haier Group, LG Electronics and NETGEAR Inc., growing membership to more than 300 companies. As one of the biggest IoT consortiums, this surge in membership follows the announcement last month that OCF and the AllSeen Alliance merged under the OCF name and bylaws with the mutual goal of creating a common IoT standard.
