The Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) is excited to announce the addition of the OCF India Forum to the OCF community. The OCF India Forum is the newest regional effort, following the OCF Korea Forum and the OCF China Forum.
The number of connected devices in India is increasing exponentially with demand generating from both Consumer and Industrial applications. Nasscom predicts that there will be 2.7 billion connected devices by 2020, leading to an economic impact of up-to $15B USD. However, more than half of this market growth is locked by the lack of interoperability standards. The OCF India Forum was recently formed with a vision to solve this interoperability problem, and to promote the Open Connectivity Foundation in India and its approach to enabling an interoperable, scalable, reliable and secure Internet of Things (IoT). The OCF India Forum currently boasts 35+ members from a range of companies including Intel India, L&T Technology Services, Nasscom CoE IoT and Samsung R&D India Bengaluru.
